Welcome to the Psst Safe, a secure place to confidentially share information and/or request legal advice. Here, you can deposit information you believe is of legal or public concern. The information can remain anonymous (and encrypted) or it can be matched with other concerns that tell a broader story about an issue. It is up to you: You decide whether to keep your deposits anonymous or to include your name/contact info.
Before you proceed, let's run through some precautions.
Are you on a work-provided computer, phone, device or network? If so, your employer may have already logged your visit to our site. If possible, delete your cache and exit. Return to Psst.org on a personal device that has no connection to your workplace.
If you are using a personal device, please ensure it has no employer-related software or apps installed (these may allow your employer to track what you are doing). If your device has work-related software or apps installed, exit now, clear your cache, and visit Psst from a device that has no connection to work.
If you are accessing Psst on a personal device and a non-work network, using a Tor Browser or Onion service provides the highest anonymity. You may continue now or exit and learn about using a Tor Browser before continuing.
In the Safe, you will decide how your deposit is treated. Here are your options:
Request legal consultation. In this case, a Psst...Legal lawyer will unencrypt the deposit and contact you (within 5 business days). The conversation will be privileged.
Keep information encrypted until a ‘match’ is found. Matches will only be made with metadata you provide in fields. If a match is found, a Psst...Legal lawyer will alert you and ask you for permission to unencrypt your deposit.
Keep encrypted anonymously. If at this time you want to remain completely anonymous, using the Safe as a place to record your concern only, choose this option.
You can always change your designation when you check back in.
